 ２０分で舞浜に着いた
午前７時５０分に宿舎を出発し舞浜に向かった。
舞浜とは、東京ディズニーランドがあるところで、住所は
千葉県である。４０〜５０分かかるかと思ったら、渋滞が
なくて２０分で目的地に到着した。
九段宿舎からディズニーランドまで車で２０分ということ
が判明した。

舞浜のヒルトンホテルで今日から開催される
「International Collegiate Programing Contest」の開会式
に政府代表で出席した。
このイベントは、世界中で行われる地域予選を勝ち抜いた
８８の大学がプログラミング技術を競うもので、IBMが後援
している。
決勝ラウンド「World Finals」が日本で開かれるのは初めて
で、日本の大学は、３校がこのファイナルに残っている。
アジアでは中国が熱心で、１０チーム以上残っていた。

政府代表としての挨拶
Good morning.
On behalf of Japanese government, I would like to
welcome all of you to Japan.
I have a message from Ms. Sanae Takaichi, the
Minister of Innovation in Japan, and will read it.
My congratulations on advancing from the regional
contests to the World Finals.
As the minister responsible for Information Technology,
I am very proud of having this distinguished contest in
JAPAN, and would like to express my gratitude to all
who have been working hard for this occasion.
Information technology is the principal source of value
creation in this century, sometimes called the century
of knowledge.
IT can help improve the society and economy overcoming
geographical constraints.
IT makes possible the sharing of knowledge and information
as well as cooperation between people all over the world.
This is the key to innovations in all areas, and the key
to the prosperity of individuals, industries and nations
worldwide.
Humankind is now threatened by many difficulties such as
global warming, natural disasters, tragic accidents, and many
societal problems.
IT can help: For example, appropriately produce and consume
energy; and minimize the effects of natural disasters.
IT is becoming a necessity for solving not only industrial
problems but also societal problems.
At the center of information technology lies software technology.
I hope you, talented people leading our next generation,
further improve your knowledge and skills concerning software
technology, and contribute to the wellness and happiness of
humankind.
I am sure that you have been working hard in improving your
technical knowledge and skills for this contest, and I hope
you
continue your efforts after the World Finals. However, I believe
that innovations are achieved through the fusion of cutting
edge knowledge and skills of different areas.
Communication and collaboration skills will be essential.
With the flattening of the world, humankind are becoming
increasingly dependent on each other.
Such a diverse world will require mutual understanding and
mutual respect. I sincerely hope that, through this contest,
you will have rich cultural exchange and establish a new
network of intelligence, leading to innovations worldwide.
Finally, please enjoy the World Finals. I wish you all good
luck!

清和研のコーヒー
清和政策研究会(町村派)にて町村会長と面談した。
６月の地元でのパーティーに来て頂けることになった。
昼御飯
国会内の共済組合食堂「ロリアン」でランチを食べた。
麻婆豆腐とメンチカツだった。６１０円也。
参議院沖縄北方特別委員会
参議院第３４委員室で沖縄北方特別委員会が開かれ
陪席した。議題は大臣の所信表明。
高市担当大臣と麻生外務大臣が所信を表明した。
まるでだだっ子
内閣委員会が午後１時４０分から内閣委員会が開かれた。
３時４０分で一度休憩に入り、４時から再会予定だったが、
民主党が手続きがどうだこうだとごねて、５時に延び、６時
に延び、結局再会されなかった。
理屈をこねて実質的に審議を拒否するこんなバカげた作戦
は、いい加減にしてもらいたい。貴重な時間をまったく意味
のない行為で無駄に使われることに、心の底から腹が立つ。
共産党の議員もこの点については民主党のやり方に批判的
だった。
